Ginger Five Spice Honey Chicken


Another quick and easy chicken recipe to try on weekday menu - Ginger Five Spice Honey Chicken.


Ingredients
1lb chicken (cubed)
1 tbsp garlic (chopped)
2 inch ginger (sliced)
3 shallots (sliced)
6 dried chillies (cut small)

Marinate
1 tbsp five spice
2 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp cooking wine
1 tbsp dark soy sauce

Method
  1. Marinate chicken at least 1 hour. (10 hours for Siaopo - marinated before going to work.)
  2. Heat up wok with oil and stir fry garlic, ginger, chillies and shallots till fragrant.
  3. Add in chicken and continue to stir fry.
  4. Simmer for 8- 10 minutes. Garnish with spring onions.
  5. Serve with warm rice.

I know what is Du Kar Cho but i dun think i know how to make it. Is a dish to distribute after delivering baby right?

Just made a variation of this for dinner. Thanks for the recipe! I have no cooking wine or five spice powder. My kitchen is kinda inadequate :) Turned out yummy! Thanks again!!
