Chicken and Mushroom Pie

Siaopo had an awesome day at work today. When the cat's away, the mice play ! ha ha

Siaopo's great day continued with chilling-out at the pool. Upon returning home, she realised that it was too late to cook any complicated dish.

A mid-week easy chicken and mushroom pie recipe was just perfect for her.

This tasty creamy chicken pie is just about as close to perfect taste as any brasserie can offer . Enjoy !

Ingedients
1lb chicken thighs (cubes)

2 cans of cream of chicken and mushroom soup

1/2 packet of Just-rol puff pastry

10 buttons mushrooms
1 tbsp garlic (chopped)

Salt and pepper

Method

  1. Preheat oven at 180 degree.
  2. Roll puff pastry and cut into rectangular shape dough.
  3. Heat wok with oil and stir fry garlic till fragrant. Add in cream of mushroom soup.
  4. Add in mushrooms and chicken. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Place mixture in a ceramic casserole dish. Place the dough on top of the dish.
  6. Decorate with left over dough. (cut diamond shape piece and place on top)
  7. Brush top with egg. Bake for 30 minutes or pastry is lightly brown.
